MON LAFERTE'S Spotify Singles - a new version of Flaco and a Billie Eilish cover

Spotify continues to amplify the voices of Latinx artists with the release of the latest Spotify Singles recordings with Mon Laferte. The Chilean singer whose music is inspired by pop, punk, jazz, and reggae will be performing her song "Flaco" from her popular 2017 album "La Trenza", and Billie Eilish's "Wish You Were Gay."

"I really liked that song from Billie," says Mon Laferte. "Growing up, I always loved listening to the Spanish versions of rock n' roll songs and thought this was a perfect opportunity to do the same with a song that I love."

Mon Laferte currently has over 5 million monthly listeners and was the most streamed Chilean artist on the platform in 2020. Mon Laferte's music is featured on Spotify playlists like Esenciales and Mujerones.

Spotify Singles has driven more than five billion streams since the program began in 2017, it was created to give artists an opportunity to record new versions of their own songs, and the songs of the artists they love. The Singles scope includes a unique version of each artist's own song (Side A) and a cover song of their choosing (Side B). To date, there have been over 600 Singles recorded as part of the program.
