PHOENIX: Alpha Zulu tour invigorates masses as we await new album!

The French indie band PHOENIX continues to pack venues across North America as they prepare for the upcoming release of their latest album Alpha Zulu, due out November 4. Preorder for the new Alpha Zulu album can be found at: usstore.wearephoenix.com with availability on CD, cassette and vinyl, plus Alpha Zulu t-shirts too!

RockDaBeat was excited to be there and share in the Windy City stop of the Alpha Zulu tour, and Phoenix's love for our beloved city could not be expressed enough from both from the stage and in person, if you were one of the lucky few to meet them afterward (photos below!). From the moment the first notes of Lisztomiania sprang through the venue's airwaves, through well-known hits and the introduction of tracks off the upcoming Alpha Zulu release, the band brought (and inspired) non-stop emotion and energy from every corner of the theatre. For these dates across the United States, Phoenix is also hosting their own light production and LED screens, perfectly complementing the sound that is this French indie rock band with an immersive concoction of visuals.

The 2022 Alpha Zulu tour will span through the end of November, culminating in two sold out dates in Paris, France, but not before Phoenix arrives through most of the United States, parts of Mexico and other locales throughout Europe. At the risk of sounding cliche, it really is a show that should not be missed!

Two tracks off the new, upcoming album are featured in the Phoenix setlist of the Alpha Zula tour. The complete setlist for the Alpha Zulu tour stops include: Lisztomania, Entertainment, Lasso, Long Distance Call, Too Young, Girlfriend, J-Boy, Alpha Zulu, Armistice, Love Like a Sunset, Lovelife, Tonight, If I Ever Feel Better, Funky Squaredance, Ti amo, Identical, and Rome. Encore: Interlude Baroque, Trying to Be Cool, 1901.
