Chicago got a special treat from The Flaming Lips. Due to the unfortunate cancellation by opening artists 'The Heartless Bastards', Wayne Coyne and company brought forth an extended set to the audience at Chicago's Riviera Theater. The full setlist included a performance of 'Oh, My Pregnant Head' which had not been performed live since 2014. Complete with a flying robotic bird, a giant rainbow and robot, and an enormous bouncing ball and the closing song with the words 'Fuck Yeah Chicago' spelled in giant balloon letters, the positive energy, music and lyrics filled hearts throughout the night.
The Flaming Lips have a few more dates from now through, so there is plenty of time to catch them in the act. Dates inclued GA, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, CA and BC (Canada). The setlist for this special occasion (bc it's always special when The Flaming Lips visit: My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion, Do You Realize??, Turn It On, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1, How??, Enthusiasm for Life Defeats Existential Fear, Moth in the Incubator, At the Movies on Quaaludes, Mother I've Taken LSD, Love Yer Brain, She Don't Use Jelly, Silver Trembling Hands, Why Does It End?, Dinosaurs on the Mountain, Feeling Yourself Disintegrate.
